July August and Part of September...it's been a busy summer

Sorry for the delay folks. As I'm sure you know, summers are busy for everyone and we had some technical difficulties with our computer. But I'm back! Cuter than ever.

Uncle Ed, Auntie Wanda, Max & Aidan came to visit me in July. We had lots of fun doing yardwork and other chores. Uncle Cliff and Auntie Jo came out to see how my placekicker training is going in August. I'm training to play for the Riders, or so mom says. Dad has a different opinion.

Also, we went to a Klippenstine family reunion in August where I got to hang out with the Harveys, Grandma/Grandpa K and some new family I've never met before. We had some big adventures when mom and dad took me to a few questionable hotels along the way (ie. Morinville).

As for me, I got a few more teeth now and I can eat lots of solid foods. Plus I'm standing alot, but not quite walking yet. It won't be long.

I'm getting ready for daycare when dad goes back to work at the end of September. I'm excited to meet new friends, but I'm also sad to miss my time with dad. He's so much fun to hang out with and I love him alot.

Till next time!

June 2010 - Visitors and I'm crawling!

It's summer! Grandma and Grandpa Klippe came to see me. We couldn't watch a Riders game yet, but they saw me in my cheering jersey for this year. Go Riders - all thirteen of them! We had a great time...but right after they left, I started crawling. Dad says I'm Commando crawling...crawling on my belly only using my elbow to pull myself forward. I'm starting to get callouses.

Oh! We also went to Edmonton and I got to stay in my first hotel. You'll see that I got the big bed while mom and dad had to share the playpen they had brought in for them. I got a great sleep!

Mom and Dad were quite surprised when I started saying mama and dada...really I was saying nana, but I"ll let them think whatever they want.

Life is so fun! I can't wait to see what happens next.

Ciao - Finn

Hello World - Here I Come! May 2010

I think I've discovered freedom. When I roll I can get to the things I'm not supposed to touch. But I've also tried pushing myself up onto my knees. Maybe I can use my legs to push me around. Not sure about that yet. Still trying to figure that out.

Mom and dad have taken me outside a lot more now. I've sat in the sunshine and gone for a hike and felt the wind blow through my hair. It's quite different from the basement where we spent a lot of our time by the fire in the winter. Now we can have fires outside in the firepit! That is...if it ever warms up enough to spend time outside. Brrr....

April 2010 - Have teeth, will travel

Wow - big month for me. Mom and dad and I went to Calgary to celebrate uncle cliff's 60th bday. I got to see the mountains in Banff, visit with Cliff and Jo, I got my first flu and cut a tooth on Cliff's b-day. On top of that auntie Melanie came out to see me! She's great fun and a good sport. During her stay we got about 2 ft of snow in 2 days, more than we got all winter. We just hung out and had a weenie roast on the fire pit in the back yard. Good times...

Check out my pictures!

Solid Foods! March 2010

Wow - I've now entered the wonderful world of solid foods. So far I've tried rice cereal, carrots and peas...some of which have gotten into my mouth even. Mom and dad seem to cringe even more when they take me to my change table. I'm not sure why. Here's some pictures of me teaching dad how to feed me.

February Pictures

Hey there everybody. Well, it's February, and I've been taking care of dad at home now for over a month. I'm happy to say that he is doing great. He can definitely be grouchy sometimes, and he likes to sleep alot, but he is good for a laugh and giggle. I keep testing him by mixing up my schedule every couple of days or so. Can't let the adults get too complacent. heehee. I've been spending some great time in my Jolly Jumper (blatent product placement) and I love it. Although for some reason when I'm in it Mom and Dad sing some kind of "river dance" music. I'm not sure what that's all about, but they laugh and it seems to make them happy. They are so easily entertained.

Bye for now everyone. Love you all.
